Factory Stereo Problems

I'm using a factory CD player/System, and I've got two after market speakers(bought the car used, not sure what name brand they are) in the two doors and they don't seem to work with the factory system. Is there a way to fix this or do I have to purchase a new system?

The speaker should work.

There are 2 things that can be wrong.

1) The speakers you bought is broken
2) You hooked it up wrong.

How about some more info?

What car do you have?

What speakers are in the doors? If you take them out, there may be more info on the back of the magnet, or you could take a pic of them.

What exactly is the problem you are having with them? "They don't seem to work..." is pretty vague.

First make sure that they're even hooked up to the speaker wires. If they are, then make sure the speakers actually work by testing them. If they work, did the car have an amp installed before? (the speakers might be wired to a now non existant amp) So you might have to reconnect them to the factory wiring where the amp was.

Yes, the oem speaker has no branding on it. If it says Sony, it's aftermarket.
