Electrical and Power Drain Help...Need Some Expert Help PLease
Okay well the short story is i had a small electrical fire in my car due to my alarm and it has left some electrical issues. I have a very small power drain, it doesn't even test with any amp pull with a meter on battery but my battery drains slowly. Its not my battery or alternator. Rulled that out. After the fire i have two things damaged. One is my doom light supervision is all wacked out. It stay on with the doors closed reading 12volts and when i open the doors its drops down to 6 volts. All azz backwards. Tonight i noticed that the light on my key cylinder stays on as well all the time. So what i did is i pulled 2 fuses under the hood that turned if off. One is fairly simple the interior light fuse. Second was i found by trial and error and it was my Stop/Horn fuse (number 15 under hood) This surprisingly turned that key light off. But now i have no horn and im worried there could be other electrical systems hooked to that fuse that i cant tell so far not working. I want to find a better way to solve the problem then just leaving the fuses out (not to mention im not sure that was really the only cause of the drain.) But does anybody have any input or at least could tell me with a helms what else the horn/stop fuse is connected too. I'm thinking of cutting my door trigger wire tomorrow to see if that turns those lights off with out removing the fuses....kinda stuck now... just want to fix the battery drain first then repair other stuff.... Any other way to stop power to the dome light and the key cylinder??
Sorry for long post
