okay, i need some sound insulation for the car. the best thing would be dynamat, but i dont want to spend that much money. is there something comparable that i can get a home depot or something that would do almost the same?
I've used Fatmat too, and it uses an adhesive that doesn't stick as well as materials that just use their natural adhesive property. Also the adhesive smells, so I wouldn't use it anywhere but in the trunk.

I used eDead v.1.SE to do the doors on my Z. I used Dynamat Extreme on the Prelude for the doors, trunk and trunk lid. They are very similar as far as physical appearance goes. Although I am not sure about the technical properties, eDead is significantly cheaper.
i just ordered fatmat off ebay, and got 50 sq ft.,any of you guys know if it would be enough to do the whole rear of a 5th gen?i plan on doing the trunk lid, rear body, inside the quarter panels, roof, quarter panel, and doors, and whatevers left will go on the trunk floor, but i'm just not sure i bought enough sound deadening

Tis enough. I bought 50 as well, and I have well over 20 left. I only did the trunk floor, sides, lid, and part of the door only though.
Hey, just go to your local Home Depot, or Lowes, or RONA (Canada), in the roofing aisle there are rolls of this stuff for sale. It's really cheap. $30 for a 20 or 30 sqft roll. It's a little thinner than dynamat, but works perfectly. Theyre ues as leak, or roofing sealants.
