Something went wrong with my sub. Its a Infinity perfect 10 running off a jensen 500watt amp at 1/2 gain. It was fine then 1 day it started to cut on and off, now its off. But when I touch/push on the cone it'll start for a lil bit then stop again. Anyone know whats wrong? Is it blown? Either way I'm not happy driving without a sub. So can anyone recommend a setup for me? I can't spend a lot on it yet, I just recently bought a turbo kit(and still waiting for it to come) . I either want to buy a cheap sub for now then replace it with a better one(s) once I'm outta debt again. Which sub should I be looking at?

i would take that amp to a car stereo place and have them test it for you, or hook it up in a friends car and try to drive his subs with it. if it works fine, get a new sub, if not, get a new amp

I'm thinking its the sub cuz it'll start when I touch the cone but stop a lil bit after. But I don't know how I would have blown it. It's a 500 watt bridged, but set at half gain. The sub says 350watts rms and 1400 watts max. I'll test the amp on my 18rf when i have a chance... need to find some long speaker wires first.
