This is a Copy and Paste of my Directions for PP.com as well as some install pictures:
I've seen people around the forums mention using a toggle switch for the p3100, and p4100. While it is a viable solution it is Kind of a cheap one, and a PITA. Having to switch it off, turn the unit on, start a movie, switch the toggle to on. Just a big pain. So I present to you the better solution. Using an Automotive relay to do the work for you. No more wires to run, no more, switches to flip. Just insert the DVD press OK on the blue screen and off you go. (Note I do not condone watching a movie and driving at the same time. This solution is for a good alternative to running a wire to your E-brake.)
I'm going through these steps assuming that you already have the unit Installed and working in your car.
Step One: Remove the Unit From your dash, you really only need the wire harness (that plugs into the back of the HU, and then into the Stock harness).
Step Two: Locate A relay, This is the one I used. Purchased from Advance Auto. Its a 5 Prong unit with Prong Numbers 85, 86, 87, 87a, and 30. You will not be plugging anything into 87a.

Step Three: Shorten your E-brake wire (green) and crimp a Female Spade connector to the end.
Step Four: Cut a piece of black wire approximately 4" Long, and strip BOTH ends. Cut you Ground wire that connects the HU wire harness to the Stock wire harness as close to the center as you can, Strip both sides of the cut. Attach one end of the short piece of black wire to the ground wire coming from the Head Unit Harness. Twist together and Crimp Both into a female Spade Connector. Attach the other end of the short piece of wire to the ground wire coming off of the stock harness connector. Twist Together and crimp into Spade Connector.

Step Five: Cut into your Blue remote wire that I am assuming you have wired from the HU Harness to the Stock Harness connector. Cut it about half way. Strip Both Sides of the cut, twist together and crimp into a female spade connector. You may need to add additional wire to extend the length of the Remote wire (blue).
Step Six: Plug the Wires into the Relay, in this order.
Pin 85 goes to ground
(loop these 2 together with the short piece of black wire)
Pin 30 Goes to ground
Pin 86 Goes to remote ( Blue)
Pin 87 Goes to Parking Brake wire (Green)
It should look like this:
Step Seven: Plug everything back into the car and give it a try before buttoning it up.... duh.
I didn't take pictures of the wire harness as I soldered and shrink wrapped it together. That part took longer than anything else, but electrical tape falls apart when it gets hot (and old) and is a newb move for installing stereos. Wire crimps are better than tape but they have a tendency of either breaking the wire off, or just plain coming loose. Right now I have the Ipod cable, and switch for the parking brake bypass in the glove box. I'm thinking of running the ipod cable through the center console and into the Top section of my arm rest. As for the bypass switch I'm gonna replace that with a relay so I won't have to worry about it... as soon as I get to a part store. It sounds much better than my old stereo (that was actually made in March of 2001! So says the stamp on the back). I didn't get a chance to crank it because it was 4:30am. What I did hear sounded excellent. Haven't tried out a Video DVD or MP3 DVD yet.
Let me just say. This Unit looks so OEM its not even funny. Its very low profile it's not an attention getter. It doesn't stick out of the Console at all. Actually it is recessed a bit, as you can see in the one picture.
No I didn't install the "Farbon Ciber" (fake carbon fiber) Cover on my dash it was on the car when I got it. Eventually I will peal it off, but I just know the glue is gonna be a PITA.
