a/d/s components

Hello car audio freaks. I've caught the audiophile fever bad. I'm wondering if anyone has a/d/s components in their car.

Also, which model/series would one recommend for a 5th Gen ?

Thanks as always.

I hear they take a lot of power but once that issue is settled they are supposed to be top of the line.

I can't audition them because none of the crap places here have anything. I want to get them despite that. I've heard amazing things about this brand.

ditto.

Try the speaker forum on www.sounddomain.com. . .lots of knowledgeable folk there (you will probably get a lot of people just telling you to go with Focal though . . .I swear some of those guys would marry a Focal 3-way set-up if they could)

It's a nice speaker, didn't overly impress me though. I heard the $2k version though (w/ super expensive crossovers) and that was really nice.

listened to their bottom line 326is 6.5" comps... they sound awesome, very flat/neutral response through the whole range. i'll probably upgrade to 346is xover tho (more features).

bought a set off ebay but they haven't arrived yet.

my ads 6x50 amp and rs.10 dvc sub are great too

Hehe, there's a couple of authorized a/d/s shops down here in Miami that I frequent every now and then to revel in the glory that is the a/d/s 346is component set. Seriously, just fantastic. Very nice and warm midbass, not punchy and aggressive like MB Q (which I also like), but a DEFINITE presence - I switched over to some Infinity components and there was a certain oomph missing from the sound in the lower registers. Midrange and upper range was totally smooth, natural, and uncolored, not fatiguing at all, and I didn't hear any 'spitting' from the tweets at higher volume. Have to go back soon with a few of my own CDs to test them with something that I know most of the nuances to, probably some Michel Camilo and Bjork - I'd forgotten to bring em and the only music they had behind the counter was Kenny G (ugh....), but it turned out to be a good test, with some very subtle sax, string, and piano parts that sounded damn near live. Like to see how they handle female vocals and some 'harder' bass, hence Bjork.

You might think I'm yag, but I listen to everything from Heavy Hip Hop to Sarah Mcglachlan and Jewel. I dig Jazz, and blues too. So you guys think these are the componenets for me? I'm just wondering if they work well with Chemical Brothers and Tupac.

so you think I can do the A/D/S 346
and the amp for like 600 buck-ish?
