Custom install?

well i bought 2 pair of Rockford Fosgate Punch 6.5" (FRC4306) speakers for my doors and rear deck.
BUT they are too big, i cut the back out of the speaker cup but they just will not sit in all the way and bolt up so do i
A) return them and buy a speaker that crutchfield says will fit (the model below mine 2 way instead of 3 way)

B) Make a ring so they will fit.. if so how do i go about doing this do i just buy mdf and cut one out or can i buy rings?

also the rear deck have a ring that is angled so it faces more towards the front of the car.

making a ring is easy
just get the 1/2 MDF and cut it out

personaly I would have gotten 2 ways and how much were the rockfords?
there should be better sounding speakers for the price you paid

for 100
infinity referances or polks would be my first choice
the polks will give a little more bass than the infinitys

but the
alpines and JBL's are good too

Go to a shop and listen to everything you can afford, then decide what you like the best. A $100 speaker ain't gonna be the end-all of car audio, but you'll certainly be able to find something you like. You've GOT to audition them yourself, forget what everybody else thinks.

With that said, I like JL speakers (can't vouch for their cheaper line), and lots of people here like CDTs (pretty cheap at thezeb.com from what I hear).
