Clarion headunit... stuck CD.

rarely ever play a cd in my Clarion headunit DXZ735MP
since getting Sirius... but today.. put a cd in... the bugger wont come out on eject. Makes a bunch of funky noises.

I thought all cd players had a little hole to hit which you could use a paperclip to eject a stuck cd.... I cant find it... I really dont want to take out the unit just to get this cd out... annoying **** to start the day... then also I realized my jdm fogs H3's finally died as well today.

So any suggestions... my little tweezers on my leatherman have zero gripping power... the only tool I found around here at work. so I got lunch time to mess with it.

good morning!

My CD player ejects the CDs when it looses power, such as by unpluging the battery, and then pluging it back in...

Turn off the deck. Hit the "open" button & take off the faceplate. The reset button is on the right side. You need a toothpick or something small to press it. Press & hold it for 2 seconds and it should reset.

By there way, here's a link to your manual, in case you lost it. Reset instructions are on page 28.

HERE

I found my manual.... and it states if the cd wont eject.... to bring to place of purchase. The reset button you are referring to is to reset the setting back to fresh out of the box... not eject a cd. The hole is not deep enough for hitting a mechanism... or it would have stated this in the manual.

Ah, well some cd decks will eject the cd when you reset it. I don't know of any deck that has an access hole to the actual gears to manually eject a disc that way. If you take it back to where you bought it, they'll probably just disassemble it enough to get the cd out & then warranty it out or tell you to buy a new deck if it's out of warranty. If you're feeling ballsy, you can take it apart yourself with some small screwdrivers. (& sometimes torx) The problem with trying to use tweezers, is that if the the disc lock is engaged, you can't pull it out, unless you open the deck up.
