civic Front 6.5" Woofer Upgrade

just seeing if anyone has put this in and if you need to do any modification to the mounting plastic bracket in the door for these, and will it plug in and work good. also does it make much of a difference. There the Front 6.5" Woofer Upgrade
Set of 2, replace both stock front speakers. Glass balloon cone offers optimum rigidity for deeper base with minimum distortion. Strontium alloy magnet. 60Watt max, 50Hz-16Khz frq range.
heres a pic of it

drop right in with no modifications what so ever. same honda plug too. a lot more efficient, makes the front speakers louder with the same power. cleaner sound with deeper bass. huge difference from stock. definately worth the upgrade.

Installed them tonight. Best $30 (shipped) I've spent on my lude yet!

Seriously... It sounds a lot better, well worth the small amount of money.

i put them in and it did not make it louder or more bass i just seemed to not break up as much with the bass playing, does anyone know how we could make rear speakers fit being the fact we have the plug in style can we do that with other speakers and will the 4-way pioneer 6x9s make a big difference and will they fit.

the 6x9's will fit, juss remember when u remove da grill to take a razor blade or something to cut with and cut da thing dat hangs down on da grill (oval ring bout half inch long) dat way da grill will go back on, otherwise u cant get it to cova da speaker. juss remember to get an amp cuz they need alot of power to be heard.

i installed my pair and it does help. i am not a bass freak, but i can tell it sounds cleaner. 25-35% improvement in quality of the sound. 15-20% improvement on bass alone, to me of course since everyone has different standards. good luck!

Do you have oem cd player, because is its aftermarket and higher powered then the upgraded speakers will help because the OEM ones would have been over powered

Ordered a set and I've got to say it's money well spent. IMO, the bass is a lot cleaner. The first pair I recieved one of the woofers was severly damaged. The cone was punctured and the metal bracket behind the woofer was crushed. Looked like UPS had a lot of weight sitting on top of my package.

Installed the second set that I recieved from Handa-Accessories.com and couldn't be more pleased with the upgrade. I would like to get rid of my 12in subwoofer and go with 2 10in subwoofers to balance out the music in the car. Would 2 10ins be better then one 12in? BTW, the 12in woofer is a Infinity Perfect 12in subwoofer and is powered by one amp with the power setting set to the lowest point so basically I can power 2 12in subs but would like to go with a smaller box. The one 12in subwoofer box takes up the entire trunk of my car. Any suggestions?

I'm about ready to order these replacements, but quick question... I have da hookup at best buy, basically I can get any pioneer, rockford, or kenwood speaker replacement cheap. Would this be a better purchase or one of the above?

I have a clarion deck, stock everything else. Possibly adding amp in future, but far off.
