Cabin Sound

Ok. So I need opinions on which speakers to use for my doors. I have JL 6x9 on the baffle and jl 6.5 in the door. I just can't hear the door speakers very well unless i fade drastically to the front. The 6x9's are over powering. My receiver is one of pioneer's top of the line single din units.
My sound sounds hollow. They're all powered correctly and I know this can be caused by speakers that just don't work very well in certain cars. Any suggestions on full sounding speakers in a prelude?. JL's are my favorite but they just don't sound right in the lude.... It doesn't sound full like my firebird does...

On another note..How do you guys get the sub to blend with the satellites? I have the JL sub in an enclosed box right now. I'll be switching over to a ported tonight when I get the car from the shop. I'm just more used to open cabins and hatches like SUVs and F bodies.

The fronts sound hollow? You might have them hooked up out of phase. Switch the + and - wires on one of the speakers and see if the sound improves.

As far as sub blending, you'll need to tweak your crossover settings on the head unit/amplifier and adjust the gain on the amp as well.

Sound dampening like Dynamat will help too.
