True, I hadn't really thought much about a break-in period.
As for the rear-speakers, I wanted to upgrade them if/when I upgraded the factory head-unit, because of the whole AFBS thing... And, when I started looking for replacements, there wasn't much that fit in there. (According to crutchfield,
THIS is the only set of 6x9's that will fit in the stock 6x9 holes.) I started thinking about it, and for just a little more, I could get another set of 2-ohm Reference components to match my fronts, and I could mount the tweeters in a much better location than the back, pointing straight up at the rear-window. Plus, I'm kind of OCD about mixing and matching components... (JBL and Infinity, etc...) I know that's dumb, but whatever.
