back panel noise

I have a Alpine type-R 12 in the trunk of my 5th gen and it shakes the **** out of my back panel (Mostly on the left side where the 6x9 is). The speaker is not blown, I thought that at first. Does anyone know what that is or anything I can do to reduce the raddle. Do the speaker covers cause noise? I cant dynomat the back panel......can I?

A few options:

Free - Stick some foam or sock or foam in a sock between the metal and rear deck.
Not Free - Sound deadening

Use deadener on the rear deck. To get full access you'll need to remove the trim on the C pillars. To do that you just gotta pull them off. It's fairly easy to do. once everything is off, use something like dynomat (I used Brown Bread) to cover every square inch. I also sealed up all the holes, which you may not want to do if you're running a sub in the trunck. You can also tape down all lose cables or wires and use thick foam to secure any panels that may be vibrating. It'll take some time, and may require that you stick your head in the trunck with the sub at full volume to track down some rattles, but it's doable and well worth it.
