audio system brainstorming
So this is more of a brainstorming thread I guess then anything else. I am trying to accomplish an audio system install in my 92 prelude. I pulled all the stuff out of my Del Sol. I have: 4 channel amp to power cabin speakers. 4 cabin speakers. A amp to power a 10" subwoofer that is in a generic box.
What I am trying to accomplish: a clean install in the trunk of the lude that takes up as little space as possible, and still let me get to the spare tire and have plenty of trunk space, and more specifically, I would like to keep my rear seat hole.
I know I am asking alot and that I why I want to get the creative brains together. I don't mind (attempting to) make a custom fiberglass sub box to fit on the side of the trunk (have it recessed in where the tail light "access panel" is). But what do I do with my amps, there is not enuf space on the back of the driver side rear seat to mount both amps.
My idea sofar by the way is this: (call me crazy) make (out of fiberglass or wood) a panel to cover the underside of the rear deck (where the trunk closing torsion bars and the trunk light are) and mount the amps off that so that they "hang" in my trunk, keeping my trunk floor empty. and then either make a custom enclosure on the side of the trunk for the sub or mount a generic box somehow so it's easily removed should I need to get to my spare tire or anything.
Any ideas are welcome....
