Anyone know how to wire up multiple stiffening caps?

I have some light dimming issues and running a few thousand watts worth of equipment in my car. I currently have a 1 farad cap which helps but I want to know if i can add a second. If I added a second one, how would I wire it up? series...parallel?

getting a high output alternator and yellowtop type battery will help you more than band-aiding your system with the caps.

I'd recommend upgrading your big 3, if you haven't done so already. Many times, this will solve slight dimming problems. But to answer your question, you wire up multiple capacitors in parallel.

Wire them up in Parallel .

But I would upgrade your battery first to a yellow top. I had the same problem with my setup with the audio and the PC. When I upgraded the battery the dimming issue pretty much disappeared.
