amp wiring question

Ok I am very new to car audio and what power amp I need to power a sub and how to wire in parallel and series and all this stuff I keep coming across.

So hears what I've got and what I want to achieve:
JVC mp3 deck
CHEAP pioneer 6 1/2-front
Decent JVC 6 1/2- rear
2 Kenwood Tornado(blue) 10" subs
SMALL pioneer amp

I just came across a MTX 4 channel amp:bightumb:

http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/products...der564_400.cfm

My beef with my system is the JVC 6 1/2's crackle and stuff. is this because the watts coming from just the deck is not enough to power them?

So, to fix I faded up front for the majority of the sound.

Since the amp is 4ch, can I run it so that the subs take most of the power and the jvc's take a little, or do the speakers take what they need to? I dont want to blow the 6 1/2's
thanks

You can probably adjust the gains so that the fronts will get less power than the rear.

Ok

Is it possible to blow a speaker by giving too much power?
Reason I ask is because when I originally got my subs they said that a speaker doesn't blow by getting too much power, its cause it gets too little power is this true

Speakers can blow for a number of reasons. Too much power can certainly damage the speaker, too little power *can* be a problem as well, and in all cases, distortion kills speakers.

If you over-power the sub and it keeps peaking out and cliping you will certainly blow it

Yeah you will definately blow a pair of crappy speakers by over powering them. It is possible to mess up speakers by significantly under powering them but it would have to be WAY under powered to cause any kind of problem at all.
