Alarm for NA1

So who is an alarm guru?
I am thinking about either the clifford matrix 50.5x or the RSX 3.5. No matter which one I get I will be running hood and trunk pins, a tilt sensor and a backup siren.
They both have turbo timer built in, remote start and I think the same brain. Is the paging distance the only difference? Little help thanks!

Louie can hook you up, he knows tons of stuff about alarms. I'm sure he can do a quality install for you also.

The main difference that you'll see is the improved range that the remote has on the 50.5x. That's not to say that the 3.5 has a small range in the least. I get much further range on my 3.5 than other people with different alarms. (the remote, antenna, and brain are different between the two alarms btw) There's other insignificant differences like the 50.5x having a useless program button on the back of the remote and the led's that get mounted in the car are different colors. On a lot of cars, you don't need to add a trunk or hood pin, just tap into the existing factory ones. As far as a backup siren, you could add a mini piezo siren for the interior, or go with a backup battery siren in the engine bay instead of the regular one.

This should be in the entertainment & security forum btw.

ExodusFX is 100% spot on with my personal experience with the 3.5. I have a backup battery + the mini piezo siren for the interior. Remote start on a stick shift is kinda dangerous unless you some type of neutral safety switch. LUCKILY...a lot of nissans have it built in so I can have it on my Maxima w/o any worries.

On a side note...if you don't like the big remote, supposedly this month the new clifford/viper alarm is coming out.

What are the 2-way ranges getting to on the newer systems? Mine is a Viper/DEI from about 1.5 - 2 years ago. I'm curious if they have really lengthened the range. The sales folks said newer systems were coming out with nearly a mile range on a DEI.

I believe the 1 mile one is already out. My 3.5 is 1/4 mile range and that is PLENTY for me.
The new responder LE is supposed to be 1/4.

I need an alarm on the NA1 Yesterday.
So ... is the 50.5 worth the extra money over the 3.5?
The 50.5 is the 1 mile version.

How does the built in remote start and turbo timer work?

I will be doing the G5 backup siren for 100%, pins and tilt sensor. Any other extras you recommend? omnisensor?

I have the Viper 5900 R/S alarm 2-way unit. They advertise a 1 mile range, but I get 1/4 mile pretty reliably. I really do not get 1 mile range but it's no big deal for me. Of course, buildings, parking garages, terrain get in the way. It still helps to put the remote under my chin when I'm out of range, but still, I haven't seen one mile yet. I imagine it's tested to work 1 mile away in perfect conditions, not real-world conditions. I dunno. Other than the range, I love the alarm.

R/S (yeah on a manual, I just never park in gear)
DEI dual stage motion sensor
ball-bearing hood-pin
Factory trunk-pin
Two DEI sirens under the hood
DEI battery backup siren
two piezo sirens in the trunk
four more piezos to be installed in the interior

Yeah, it's loud

Tap the "*" button on the remote 2 or 3 (depends on programing) and the remote start is activated/deactivated from afar. For the turbo timer, before you shut off the car (in neutral) you simultaneously press two of the buttons on the remote and it turns the turbo timer on. Turn the key, exit the vehicle and arm the alarm as usual.
