After being a die hard Eclipse fan....

I've fallen in love with Kenwood.

Have had nearly 7-10 Eclipse Head Units since about 1997. Have loved them, and have tried other decks, none could ever compare to the sound quality.

Installed a AVN6620 back in 2007, upgrading from a regular single din unit. I could tell a drastic change for the worse in sound quality. The older Eclipse unit sounded better than this newer one, which, was a first for me.

So fast forward to yesterday. Purchased a DNX6980 for my woman's WRX. The sound quality absolutely blew my AVN6620 out of the water. And this is with crappy low end factory speakers. The AVN6620 is powering Eclipse 6x9's and 6.5's, and the stock crappy WRX 6.5 coaxial sound so much better.

Anyway, just thought I'd post up a quick review. I was skeptical at first since Eclipse no longer sells to the public, Kenwood was only the 2nd other brand besides Pioneer which I've tried, and I'm extremely happy.

Looking to get last years flagship (9960) for my Tundra, and sell the AVN6620.
