Is a 555d immobilizer module in a '97 possible?

I just had a CompuStar command start/alarm installed but the installer told me they couldn't use the 555d immobilizer module because it's designed for the '98+ Preludes. The '97 apparantly has different wire colors. Right now the command start works because I have a key under the dash and will have to grind it down for security reasons. I'd rather have the 555d module installed, but I'm not sure it's possible or what needs to be done to get it to work. Anyone done this to a '97?

don't know about the question, but if it don't work, you could go and buy a blank T5 and have the code put on it. Beats destroying one key.

Now that's a brilliant idea! Unfortunately I decided I didn't feel like waiting and had the key cut up. Now I'll have to go get a new valet key from Honda.

As an aside, I also had a key cut WITHOUT the chip at a key-cutting shop. It won't start the car all on it's own, which is what I was worried about. So that's kewl. What's interesting is that once I start the car with command start I can then use that chipless key to drive the car. Good? Bad? Not sure yet, but I don't think my car is less secure now that I have command start.
