4g power wire

anyone know of a good place to run a 4g power wire under through the firewall? preferably, on the passengers side, but i guess drivers side would work. also, i have a switch to my headlight strobes that does nothing now that i removed them. it just holds two wires, and switches on and off. if i ran my remote wire to my amp through this, would it work for a switch to turn my amp on and off? what about if i ran it through the speaker wire on the sub? i was thinking the remote wire would work better. has anyone hooked up a switch to their amp to turn it on and off? btw, it is a rf 600.4.

if you remove the underhood fusebox, there is a perfect gromett on the firewall below where teh fuse box mounts.
