4/2 ohm amp with 3ohm sub....problem???

I have a ppi pc21400 that rates at 350x2@4ohms, 700x2@2ohms, or 1400x1@4ohms and will be running a 12inch JL w7 which is 3ohm single voice coil.

From what I read I can't run it bridged so can only run it to one channel. My question is: will running it to just one channel have any negative outcomes? Like damage my equipment in the long run?

700x2@2ohms mean's it's stable @ 2 ohms, so 3 will be fine. Figure it'll output somewhere around 1050 watts at that resistance.

I have a JBL W12GTI (Dual 6 ohm voice coils, running at 3Ohms) and a JBL BP1200.1 monoblock amp(600W@4ohms 1200W@2ohms). I contacted JBL and they told me there would be no problem running it @ 3ohms and that my amp would draw roughly 1000W @ 3ohms, so youre probably running a bit more. BTW the sound is incredible, especially for one 12.
