Add a small screw to hold the spring back. If you take the handle off you will see where the spring slipped

You don't need a screw. open it up and push the spring all the way to the left(if passenger side door) and all the way to the right for the driver side door. Make sure the bottom of the spring is behind the plastic part on that side. Push the other side of the spring(the longer, slightly bent side) toward the metal panel of the door. You will see a small crese in the metal that you can stick the end of the spring into to hold it in place. However, I had to cut about a half inch off that long part of the spring in order to get it to slide into the crese. This will all make more sense while you're looking inside of there. DON'T LOOSEN EITHER OF THE BOLTS THAT HOLD THE DOOR HANDLE ON. I did this and stripped one so now the whole thing is loose but at least it's not floppy.
