i didn't change the timing belt in time and i ended up with bent valves. cyl. 1 has low comp. and the rest dont have any. the head is fine, just the block needs to be rebuilt. perfect if you need a backup engine/block for a turbo set up. 5sp with 80k miles on it. tell me if you're interested, shoot me a price...as long as i can ship it and still make profit i'll take it.

Is it a base model block (non-SH)? Also, what year model is the block?

I'm interested. Do you know how much shipping would cost?

confused???

Timing belt broke

Cyl1 low compression, the rest have NO compression??
You say the head is fine but the block is bad? Wierd

Possibly you got it backwards when you were typing?
Did the Valves hit the pistons? How are the pistons?

I need a bottom end. Ill start the bidding at $350.

If the bottom end is trash then im not interested.

honestly, i'm not car orientated at all...mechanic told me i bent my valves and i needed a new engine. the timing belt never broke, he said it was "loose" so that was the cause of it...people say to change timing belt around 70k miles and i was thinking about it at the time but too late. the mechanic didn't take apart the whole bottom end because he said i'd need a new engine either way. i'm certain i didn't misshift because i didn't overrev. i shifted into 4th and i heard loud grind and then the engine just kinda fluttered and died. someone care to explain to me what else could've happened then?

You never replied to my PM.

Edit: Is this still for sale? I am interested in the head, valve cover, intake manifold and throttle body.

the transmission is from an 98 ACCORD!! honestly, this transmission was better for me then the prelude's transmission. 1st and 2nd are shorter and pulled hard as **** compared to the ludes, 3rd, 4th and 5th gears are still responsive but are geared higher for highway driving. perfect set-up for the person who has to drive long distances and likes to drag race. if interested PM me an offer. so far the highest is 250 for the transmission picked up. shipping will be a ***** and i will only ship if that's my last resort.
