FS: PRICE REDUCED!!! Built H22A4, are you ready to boost?

My good friend has decided thats he's not going turbo anymore so he wants to sell his motor, here's the specs:

97 H22A4
Block has been ported, decked, sleeved and pinned (like a block guard that goes all the way down the cylinder, for extra protection)
JE 9:1 compression pistons
Crower Rods
Ported and polished head
AEM adjustable cam gears

motor has 5000 miles on it since rebuild and is in immaculate condition. i guess the correct term for this is longblock, it doesn't come with tranny, header, alternator, or p.s., but you can use that stuff off your old motor.

this motor is ready for some mad boost!! I'm sure it can handle over 15 lbs. easy!

entertaining offers right now and willing to ship, (it's alrerady on the pallet)

$2700 or best REASONABLE offer + shipping will take it!!

any questions...call Doug at 423-877-6494 or 423-322-7974
DO NOT LOWBALL!!

JE pistons with factory sleeving? That's a recipe for an early death.

That doesn't help the fact that OEM sleeves are not compatible with anything other than OEM pistons. The JEs will not last long with those sleeves. Are you sure other sleeves weren't put in the motor?

This is undisputed as fact on this board. Check out the FI or NA forums for more info.

just confirmed that the sleeves were made at the machine shop since they had the machinery to produce them, no use in spending the extra money for a name brand when you have the tools and supplies handy...they are dry sleeves fyi

i don't think anybody is trying to start a fight.. i think it's more of info to others thinking about buying the engine, i know that i would be asking the same questions (about the sleeves and other parts).. same goes for the people over on honda-tech.. i'm sure they ask the same questions

i was really interested in the motor but without all the specs, it's hard to just commit the money

a fight?? what are you talking about?? anyways, i'm just trying to sell the motor, igave all the information i knew at the time and if i didn't know an answer i had to ask the owner of the motor. he had trouble selling it locally so he wanted me to post it. if it was my motor i would know every detail of it...

any other questions are welcomed!!

i'm sorry about my post.. it was late and when i read everything.. i just got a vibe of friction.. i didn't mean anything by it.. i completly understand that the motor isn't yours and you shouldn't take heat for what your friend tells you to post

good luck with the sale
