FS: Built H22 Head

The head has been completely built with Ferrea components, with a port and polish and angle job.

$1500

Here are pics

head 4

My engine was ruined when my mechanic decided to lean out my motor and crack the block. The head is in tip top condition.

The work was performed by a place called CGM (Crankshaft Grind and Machine) in Millersville MD.

Can u run this head with a stock Engine set-up. I have no other internal work besides a brand new bottom end. But can u slap this head on and go or do i need to get a vafc and get it tuned for it to properly work right..I want to redo my head even though it had a mild build already, but if u work with the price especially picked up we may be able to work a deal. let me know..

Well that would depend on what you have done with your bottom end. If its just a stock bottom end, then yes you can. If you have a built bottom end, this would be ideal but you would need to consider a good engine managment/tuning.

I dont believe the valves are oversized, just better flow and overall stronger valves, springs and retainers. There are no cams with the head.

When you go with anything over a stg1 cam, then you need to upgrade the valvetrain. Cams would be the icing on the cake for this head, but you can run this with stock cams until you get something fatter and you will be fine.

Thanks Jay! He's got this head down to a Tee. Just to reiterate what he said, yes you can run this on a stock bottom end. You will find mild performance enhancements, but you will get even more when you upgrade to a more agressive cam.

Yea i am running a stock bottom end. Didnt wanna go forth with all the extra stuff of building a block since i dont plan on keeping the car that long.. But let me think about it. The head comes complete right, i should basically be able to bolt it right up to the block.besides the other obvious work but u know what i mean..

Absolutely. It's been sitting in an isolator bag for almost 6 months now.
