Feeler: Mugen MZ3X 17 x 7 wheels

Hey guys,

I'm thinking about selling my Mugen MZ3X wheels. They are 17 x 7 with 50+ offset. For those of you who don't know, these wheels were specially made for the Prelude and have been since discontinued, thus making them very rare. I bought my set used early this summer and had just had the face refinished and all of them restraighten this past weekend which means they are pretty much brand new. The set would include the Mugen valve stems, center caps and Mugen chrome lugnuts. I'm looking to get about 1350$ + shipping (which should be about 80$ anywhere in the continental US). Remember, these wheels were selling for 1600$ alone. The lugnuts themselves are 80$ + shipping and the center caps 125$.

I'm just trying to see what kind of demand there is for these rare wheels while I'm in this 'mood'. If there is no interest in the next week or so, I'll just keep em.

Sooo beautiful. If this was next spring, I probably would've jumped on these.

BTW, they weigh 17.5 lbs each, so that puts than ~1.5 lbs less than the base stock rims.

I have the same rims!

I need to get them refinished as well.

How much did it cost you to do all 4?

Rick...
They aren't the lightest wheel, weighing at 20 pds/rim.

jji106...
I had mine done at a reputible company in Montreal, Canada (while I was in MTL for business). But they would have done simular work as www.wheelcollision.com which was going to cost me about 800$ (shipping both ways included).

Jax...
Sorry, I'm looking into something else (for wheels).

they won't, huh? when you get a chance, pm me some dimensions for either the caliper or the necessary wheel size to host the caliper, I've been curious about that for a while.

As for the wheels, bump. If I had the money, that'd be worth a 5-lug swap.

My Work Emotions wheels are 18 x 7.5 with +48 offset and it clears the caliper by 2mm.
And OEM rims would need a 3mm spacer to clear the caliper.

oh so the only issue here is clearance at the front (spoke side) of the wheel, not well of the wheel? Sorry to hijack Keith. Bump for nice wheels, post above has link to pics

Keith,

If you held onto these until next spring, I would guarantee you a buyer.

Did you sell them yet?

No, I haven't even put them back on since having them refinished (I've been busy with my engine). I'm keeping them for now but you can hit me up during Spring to see if I feel any different about selling them.
