99 prelude lip kit value?

I apologize in advance, I did read the forum rules, but I didn't see a better place to post this.

I just bought a 99 prelude from a guy who said he used these forums.. he recommended to me that I check it out. There's a lip kit on the car that is in dire need of paint.. and looking at finances I don't see myself affording to get it painted any time soon. I do however need to get an alarm system installed.. and a smaller steering wheel for comfort.
I may be interested in selling it, but I have no idea of it's value.. I live near daytona beach florida, and if after shipping the price is reasonable, I would prolly give it up.
So if anyone knows the value of a lip kit.. one he advertised as a rare and hard to find thing... can you either email me or post here? Email is importbuyer@hotmail.com
If the price is right after shipping, I need the alarm and steering wheel.. so with the right price, I am likely to sell..
Sorry if this is the wrong place.. I am sure I will figure out more as I explore the site!

Edit:
Also, rather than post somewhere else... I didnt see where to ask this.. he said he paid for membership, what does paying for membership on here offer? Thx in advance.

Edit2:
I bought the car after seeing it on auto trader.. saved the pic, makes it easier than finding the camera... if you look close, you can see some of the paint issues Im talking about on front.. here it is:

Paint doesn't really matter if it in good condition it can easily go for 500

100-150 for front lip
200-300 bucks for sides
100-150 for rear lip

as a package it can fetch anywhere from 400 to 600 dollars.

if i were you, i would seriously think about keeping the kit, it's getting harder to find an authentic kit and unless you have the original skirts and rear skirt, your car would look funny with the kit off.

That picture just doesnt show how bad it looks.. and theres a chance I could get the original skirts from the guy i bought it from. He gave me everything he could think of, original radio, manuals... everything I could want.

He told me a girlfriend of his had it painted... looks like model paint.. spiderwebs cracks all over the front paint, with a few sploches of just missing..

I don't want to get rid of it.. but I also don't have the cash that I need to drop into it..

Oh... and if anyone wants to buy a radio, the original, with the feedback whatever system.. let me know.

I guess I will call the guy i bought it from, see if he has the parts he had to take off. If not, guess I am stuck.

Oh... and I am interested in either an original windguard(or whatever its called) for the moonroof, or a way to try to get the residue it left behind off the car.. only thing that bothers me.

Goo Gone will take that residue off pretty easily.

keep it until you can afford to paint it. you will regret selling it. you underestimate how difficult to find and how sought after these kits are. especially a full set.

Due to the fact that I have a cel code.. egr valve needing to be replaced or cleaned.. and I am getting a car alarm installed today.. if I have to buy a new egr valve, I will prolly sell it.(even tho I dont really want to)

Because it looks like I may need to.. I called the guy I bought the car from to see if he has the parts he had to take off to put the lip kit on.. he said he did it at his parents house, and since fathers day is this weekend, he is checking for me.. so if he has it, it is more likely.

But if i do sell, I would want to sell all 4 at once. But if I cant get the stock parts, it is likeley I will just have to.. get another job? Find odd jobs? I dont know.. I will update when I find out.

I have the stock parts if you end up needing them and want to get rid of your lip kit. I can also have them painted to match your car if you'd like....

Ok.. I have recieved a few PM's of some offers I cannot refuse(just waiting on the original parts from the last owner), but as I am not the one to buy/install this kit, I figured it would be best to put a few close ups on here, both to show condition, and also in case I was misinformed, and this is NOT the stock lip kit. To the best of my knowledge it is... but at least this way they can see condition also

Rear lip:

Left lip:

Right lip:

Then the front lip:

three close ups, since this is where the paint is damaged:
Right side

Middle

Left side

Close up of what seems to be a scratch in the actual material.. sandable? I don't know.. it just feels like a little scratch in the plastic, I would imagine could be fixed easily before being painted.

I know that is prolly overkill information wise, but the people who pm'd me should see what I have while I wait for the stock parts from the guy I bought the car from.

That would all be pretty easy to fix by yourself.

1. Take kit off car.
2. Wetsand kit.
3. Fill in scratches with glaze.
4. Buy a couple spray cans of paint from a local auto body/paint supply shop. They can match the color code and give you a single stage paint, meaning no clear coat required. I did this for about $15 a can.
5. Let dry.
6. Reattach kit.

It might not match perfectly, but it will look better. And you get to keep that oh so rare kit.

What, the stock radio? If so... I don't know.. 10 bucks plus actual shipping? Kinda funny because this thread is just about the lip kit... but I do have the radio sitting in the trunk, lol.

Ok... just as an update. I have recieved so much advice to paint and keep the lip kit... for now I intend to do so. I have recieved some nice offers, but I assume that the value wont go down any time soon.. besides, I dont have the original parts back as of yet. If a mod gets a chance to lock this it would be nice(I am getting ALOT of pm's)... If I get the stock parts, and I am forced to sell it(lip kit), I will just make a new thread.. but not until I actually can either way.

as far as the guy who wants the radio... if your talking about the stock one, shoot me a pm and we can discuss it.
