WW RS Front Lip question

Everyone,

I need a front lip to complete my body kit. I recieved my OEM sides and rear Monday, now i need a front lip. So, i'm going with the WW RS Front.

I talked to a guy at www.newwayautosports.com, and he mentioned that Wings West could paint the front lip the same color as my car, as long i have the right paint code. Now, my question is... Has anyone does this before? It will cost an extra $100 for Wings West to paint it, which isn't too bad. What do you guys think?

Thanks,
Jay

I had already bought my kit an received it, but I didn't get my Type R spoiler yet cuz it was on backorder....I didn't know that they'd paint it until armen told me when I was talkin to him bout my spoiler....I'm havin them do it...here in napa area, everyone wants to charge more....my kit was painted for 575 so 100 for the front is good....seems like a lot of others want to charge like 125 or higher per piece...I won't know the quality or anything cuz I haven't gotten it yet...but I'm sure that if there's a problem then they'll take care of it. ask around in your area an see what the body shops'll charge you an then compare. if you can find a local place to do it for the same price then definitely have the local place do it...less chance that somethin could go wrong.

Why are you going with a WW RS front and not an OEM front, since you already have the rest of the OEM kit? Just asking because I think the WW RS hangs lower than the OEM.

DK:

trust me, i've been debating between WWRS front and OEM front for about week... i just can't decide. I like them both. I'll probably end up going the OEM to keep everything simple. Also, it costs alot less to paint...

Yeah. If you can find an OEM front lip in your color, I'd say go for it. Either way, it should look good. I just installed my OEM kit yesterday, and I love it!
By the way...what part of MD are you in? I'm in PG County.

Wait wait, let me get this straight....

If I order from Armen at New Way, I could pay a little more and have the kit shipped to me already painted in my car's color so all I would have to do is install it?

BTW, don't put a WW front with OEM sides and rear...WW front hangs a lot lower than the OEM and it would look awkward.

yeah....armen doesn't paint it, but WW does, which he doesn't always say, which is why I didn't know bout it til after I had already gotten my kit delivered to my door

Does the WW front really hang that much lower than the oem sides?? hhmm..

Well, i made the decision of going with the OEM. I found one in my color, but it is used. Oh well, i'll just get it repainted, since it does have some scratches. I'm picking it up Sunday

As for getting the WW RS painted... WW does the painting at the factory. Armen doesn't tell you this, but i asked just out of curiousity. It also comes with a warranty, if painted by WW. If the paint peels off the kit, WW will send you out a new one for free. Armen also mentioned that there is a 4 week waiting list because WW is backed up.

Well, thanks for all the input guys... the kit is going on this weekend, along with my new suspension

I too am interested in the WW RS lip. I plan on putting it with Mugen sides and rears. I think this should be a better match than with an OEM lip because the WW looks a little bigger. Anybody have this combo???

I just got my painted spoiler yesterday an I'm puttin it on today...the paint looks really good an there are no scratches or anything, at least not that I know of yet....haven't completely checked it out yet. The warranty an stuff is great, specially since something could happen to it when it's shipped. right now they are backordered so it could take awhile...don't bout the 4 weeks tho

the kit didn't take so long, took a little longer tho cuz the front and the spoiler wasn't in stock, so he was waitin on WW to get one shipped to him. the spoiler took a long time tho, specially since it came painted. It'll probably take a week or two before you could get it, probably longer tho since they so backed up right now.

The kit will probably be 497 an I think he said that it would cost 425 to get it painted as well, including all the shipping costs. Call him up an ask him, he'll give you an exact quote.
