I believe so!

All the H22A's(USDM spec) are the same, as long as u have the 5-spd tranny, ECU, clutch, flywheel, and all related accessories I don't see why not?

Not sure, but I know for a fact that the SH and Base H22A4's have a different exterior block design.

OK since this is wrong, I'm curious why you thought it was right?

btw you know what sucks

If someone has done it that's news to me. I was curious because I've know about the SH and Base 5spd blocks being different for a while, but I've heard a lot of people swear they are all the same, and I want to know where this is coming from. (ie is it because lots of people have done tranny swaps?)

Well, one of the reason why I thought they were the same is due to the tranny change-over compatibility. Obviously if u throw the SH drivetrain in there it might present some problems.(ATTS, ECU, etc.) But I never knew the long block of the base and SH were diff. though since they have the same hp and tq specs.

They bought H22A, H22A1, or H22A4? Be specific there are a lot of Prelude engines, and they aren't all the same? Or are they all except for one. Yet again every one seemed pretty damn sure until the SH bubble was burst, so know I'm think there are several differences, but nobody has ever noticed.

please reread my post. ss longblocks meaning h22a4.

when i had my old accord i went through 2 h22a motors.

the first was an ss 97 block with a 98 head. the second was a base h22a4 longblock, 1999.

i used both of these motors with my 95 h22a1 tranny.

my friends have all used the ss longblocks with h22a1 or h23a1 tranny.
