If someone has done it that's news to me. I was curious because I've know about the SH and Base 5spd blocks being different for a while, but I've heard a lot of people swear they are all the same, and I want to know where this is coming from. (ie is it because lots of people have done tranny swaps?)
OK since this is wrong, I'm curious why you thought it was right?
Well, one of the reason why I thought they were the same is due to the tranny change-over compatibility. Obviously if u throw the SH drivetrain in there it might present some problems.(ATTS, ECU, etc.) But I never knew the long block of the base and SH were diff. though since they have the same hp and tq specs.
They bought H22A, H22A1, or H22A4? Be specific there are a lot of Prelude engines, and they aren't all the same? Or are they all except for one. Yet again every one seemed pretty damn sure until the SH bubble was burst, so know I'm think there are several differences, but nobody has ever noticed.
damm it marsh do not whore my thread.. SH block will not bolt up to anything but a sh tranny this is all known.. okay what i need to know will a SS.. thats SS... SS.. longblock bolt to a 5spd tranny.. meaning a h22a4 from a sportshift 5th gen usdm prelude bolt up to a tranny from a 5th gen 5spd prelude.. thanks
