who wants CF parts? - Honda Prelude Forum

aiight guys....I'm workin w/ Gemini to get some more CF parts out there for preludes....I know that some of these are available by other companies (VIS etc.), but they don't have that gemini quality

I'll have my CF hood/trunk/plug cover soon, so you guys'll see some of them in person (for you local guys) and pics for online guys

anyway, there's things that I want, and I know that you guys want them too....for anything to be made, we need at least 5 people to buy them, so please don't disappoint me guys.

if you want one of the following things (or have other ideas) then post them up and we'll see what we can do. CF hoods, trunks, plug covers and splitters are already available, so if you want any of them, then either let myself or gemini know, and we'll get them out to you...buy multiple things and you'll get a better deal and save on shipping too

I would be interested in:
CF outer door skins
CF mugen kit (a good replica that includes the long undertray and the light covers and not the mugen price $$$)
CF mugen wing
CF Rear bumper

All for the fifth gen. And of course, only if they actually save weight vs the stock part or whatever it replicates.
Finally, to be honest, it would be quite a while before I could afford any of this stuff

4th gen Spoon mirrors I'll pay top dollar yo!

two or three guage pod. If I want a third guage I'll put it in the tweeter grill.

CF hood with a functional vent. Like the one on the Buddy club hood for the ITR. The vent is placed far enough back so that hot air from the radiator can escape out the hood. Functional hood scoops are a needed item for the 4th gen!

A carbon fiber Guage pod for the dash around the clock and the vents! That was either for 2-3 guages or a vafc?

I'm more of a performance then look oriented guy. So looking into serious weight savings.

1) CF Valve Cover. (No not plug cover)
2) Replace Steel X members behind bumper. Thats 200lbs weight saving right there.

Definitely interested in a CF cluster guage pod like the civic/integra piece. Also could go for a OEM-style trim kit in _real_ CF.

OMFG you can't be serious. 200lbs? Are you sure about that?

I am wondering about the safety implications of this also. I would like to know if those members are designed to crumple under load. CF will not do that.
