^yes its been answered before. Go to the NA library Faq

in the end, its just an intake. in the grand scheme of things not that big of a contributor to hp gains.

but if you do get an aem v2, probably one of the better ones to get.

blake did a test of all the intakes a while back on honda-tech and, the V2 did a little better than all the other ones. It must be doing something right?

i like mine much better than the aem cai i had. the aem cai was very loud. this v2 is quiet until you floor it. very nice deep sound. also the low end torque still seems to be there unlike the aem cai where the torque disappears.

Ya, I think that and lack of tuning is killing my torque line on the dyno. I want one, probably will get one this summer. My CAI looks ****ty now, been on there for probably over 5 years at least.

Just got the V2 installed today...sounds great specially when vtec engaged...was an easy install ..would reccomend taking the tire off and plastic from underneath some say to take bumper off but wasnt needed for me ...also the side bumper lens comes out with a phillips and makes it so easy to get to one of the hard to get to bolts..right tools always make for an easy install..if you have any troubles i will take time to walk you through installation.

300$ for a intake.....it gives what , 8hp or less ? You pay for the name and the sound. The ebay intakes does the same job, just buy a better filter like fujita's or K&N and your good to go....

I would rather save money and get some better decent upgrades like headers and straight test pipe.

There is no way you will get 8hp from an intake. Maybe 1-2hp with a cai...and that is being generous.

Depends on the car. A good intake will generally make more than 1-2 hp on a Prelude...
