so recently i replaced my radiator && then my check engine light turned on && it came up as p1259 which is vtec malfunction..the dealer told me it could be my solenoid but how do i know if my solenoid is good or not..cause it turned off the other day then i let my car sit for about 2 days && then when i turned it on my idle was flipping up && down && my motor was shaking or choking should i say then after about 15-20 seconds it started to idle good.?? i have no idea what it could be please someone help thanks

i had this happen to my ek hatch that had a h22a4 in it.. its the solenoid and you cant really tell if its good or not.. you just need to change it and when you do that change your wires and plugs.. if its not that it could be your ecu. your mapping could be throwing codes. but most likely its the solenoid

which wires && plugs would i have to change.??
do you know where i can find one cause the dealer is charging wayy to much!

Did you properly bleed all the air out of the coolant system?
