Vibration through clutch pedal and other problems

What does this mean? It was happening to me in neutral... i've never noticed any vibration at all through the pedal

I installed a brand new slave cylinder today after experiencing several weird problems... My car was vibrating alot *sometimes* when starting off in first from a start. after this first happened, it wouldn't go into third gear, but went into fourth. oh, while coasting to a stop with the clutch in, but still in gear, my car made a vibrating sound and my RPMs dropped almost to 0.

later, on my way home, i shifted out of third to go into fourth... wasn't going in, tried fifth, nothing, second gear, nothing! i pumped the clutch pedal and accelerated in neutral and i was able to shift into fourth.

my clutch fluid was a little low, so i filled it up, but i was still having problems and some notchiness when going into gear. then i just replaced the slave cylinder, but i have yet to take it to a drive. was the slave cylinder indeed my problem? it seemed to be getting a bit stuck when i had it out and moved the piston with my finger.

I would PM fourthgeneration(alan). He has about the exact same problem you have described.

will do that now

i think its the throwout bearing, from the searches i've done. i can get my car rolling from a dead stop in fourth gear, so the clutch still grabs fine. plus i've always heard a ticking with the clutch engaged, which some people say is a sign of a bad throwout bearing

time for new clutch and tranny droppage! gonna take me a whole day

I have the same problem. I'm scared of going anywhere. One time I was at the stoplight and couldn't get it into gear. I'm getting my clutch replaced next week because the current one is really worn out.

I thought it might have been master or slave cylinder but I've had a clutch pedal sink. I have aftermarket clutch so the pedal is very stiff and I would have felt less resistance.

after a whole day of work, i pulled the tranny off. i loosened the pressure plate and started removing that and the clutch at the same time. when i moved it, a little piece of metal fell out. it came from the clutch, where one of the springs is.

i got some pics

The metal that fell out:

The clutch. You can see the right spring and not the one to the left of it. the metal piece that broke went there in the gap.

i guess i'll have to depend on the motorcycle for commuting during the better part of this week. yay.
