Transmission shifting HARSH!

92 Si
Automatic

Right now the thing is a POS but it'll be pretty again one day lol

BUT right now it's shifting HARD in first and second gear. Third has a little vibration but otherwise feels fine. Just picked up the car last night so not familiar with it yet. Had a 94 manual before but this is a totally different animal and I have no idea what's up with her =(

One spark plug isn't seating right. Keeps popping back up...

So off to the dealer she goes tonight. Any ideas on what could be causing the transmission to be so screwy???

Hehe... maybe it needs a new one! Just throw out the automatic and get a manual put in! LOL

My auto tranny shifts tough when putting it in gear. Not so much when it shifts into 2nd or 3rd. I think sometimes the tranny has a hard time determining how fast the car is going cause it will lunge hard when I press on the gas.

Well here's the verdict...

The guy that had it before me had to have the radiator changed for some reason. The shop that's working on the car right now *thinks* that when the radiator had issues before being replaced that somehow water got into the transmission. They are flushing it out right now to see if will correct the problem. Worst case scenario is that I'll need a new transmission put in it... so if that's the case then we may swap out the automatic and put in a manual =) THAT would make me a very happy woman but... I'll live with automatic if it fixes it!

The list wasn't as long as I thought it would be for what needs to be fixed...

Upper and lower Radiator hoses
C/V axle
Power steering rack boot is split open...
oil pan gasket needs to be replaced
oh...and my speedometer trip odometer is broken so they say I have to have the whole cluster replaced to fix that!!! The price scared me!!!!!! 768 bucks new or 230 used! F*ck me, but that thing can just stay BROKE!
Needs tires... power antenna broke (bot a new one on ebay for 1/4 the cost they were going to charge me) and the sunvisor on the drivers side is broke (another "it can stay broke" item)

*sigh*
so instead of having her repainted ... she gets to run right and go to Maaco this year. Damn I hate that!!! Oh well... save my pennys and get my Imola Orange later on!!!

She'll be fine with a little lovin... just can't believe people treat their cars like this...

Hey, bonus though, after cleaning the F*CK out of the inside it looks brand spankin new!!!

So much for any more toys for the '01...all my cash will go in the 92 POS Si for now to get it ready for winter so the "baby" can stay in the garage *laugh*

...and hell, my friend tells me to look on the bright side. Maaco is cheap. If I decide to change colors again it won't cost much! hehe
