So I was driving today and my steering wheel started shaking and I could hear a loud ticking noise from what I think to be the front right wheel. I stopped and tightened the lug nuts just to be on the safe side but it didnt do much. It only does this at higher speeds and the shaking seems to stop when I either turn left or apply the brakes.
What do you guys think this could be?
(I will try to update the thread when I find out whats wrong)
Thanks for your reply. I will have to try and test those out. I know that to test for a bad wheel bearing, you have to jack up the car and if the wheel moves around kinda loose, its a bad wheel bearing.
I've been looking at some replacement parts in case I need to replace these because it sounds like exactly what you said. either outer tie rod or bearing.
Either there are 2 different companies manufacturing it for Honda or 1 is discontinued and the other is it's replacement, either way it's gonna be the same.

So I went to the mechanic today and we saw that the upper control arm has some play, we didn't notice any play from 3 and 9 o'clock so it doesn't seem to be the wheel bearing and he said he checked the outer tie rod.
Also, he noticed the wheel doesn't spin freely like the left wheel and it looks like the caliper has seized up so I'm probably going to have to replace that too.
I'm probably going to order these parts from Honda today and get em installed as soon as possible.
Whats weird is that I drove around 50mph on the way there and the car seemed fine, very odd. But if it happened before, it will probably happen again eventually so better to just fix it.
Weird, you didn't notice a pull to 1 side from the caliper? Usually you do, if it just has excessive drag and not totally seized I'd try lubricating the slide pins and bleeding the brakes since both of those can cause a caliper to have excessive drag and uneven pad wear.

Yeah I didn't notice any drag to the right at all which is weird. I ended up just ordering the upper control arm since I haven't noticed anything regarding drag or any other issues with the right brake. If anything, I might do that when I replace my pads/rotors in the future if it comes down to that, but for right now, I don't think it makes sense. If anything, I'll just try to bleed them.
Once I get my parts in and get em installed, I'll make sure to check in with the results. I love when people post the solutions to the problems they had to it can help others in the future with similar issues.

Update: ever since replacing the upper control arm with the new bushing, the shaking went away so that seems to have been the problem for sure.
Now the only shaking is from the warped rotors so I replaced those as well, just have to replace the right caliper as well because it seized up and the shaking will be completely gone.
