Just curious...with the back lip, did you have to remount your muffler? or lower it for it to fit correctly?

Yes, i had to have my muffler lowered. It cost $3 extra, just bought some hangars that had holes that were, well, lower.

i have a 4th gen with an rs kit....i didn't have to remount the muffler or anything, mine fits really snug....it would help though to cut part of it out at the muffler part, it would probably fit better...but i installed myself, and just chose not to....also, wings west also suggests that there be a certain amount of clearance between the muffler and the skirt...i didn't want to lower the muffler because the racing medalion already sits really lot to the ground and having it even lower didn't appeal

I have a 5th Gen with a WW RS and I had to remount the Tanabe DTM with longer hangers. Because I never saw this coming, i went and bought any hanger that was just longer, but the holes were a bit bigger too, so it looks really retarted because it just sways left and right whenever the car is moving...

I did not remount mine. I am thinking that the Apex N1 is different though, it hangs lower in the first place (than most exhausts). After my rear lip was put on the exhaust actually touches the lip. It is very snugg against the lip too. I like this approach better though because it doesn sway back and fourth or up and down and doesnt rattle at all.

I have the same kit, I tried to put on the side skirts last night but it did not seem to fit. Do you have to modified anything on the kit itself to put it on? Please help. Thnx

my greddy evo had about .5" clearence from the bottom of the rs kit, and ended up melting the kit onto exhuast...talk about a sloppy mess, i had to get the kit cut some around the exhaust so it would keep from melting anymore.

Thats weird because my exhaust is sitting right against the kit and I have a huge tip on the N1. I would get richened black soot but never melted the paint or kit.
