temporary clutch problem(flooded streets)

My street was flooded because of a canal overflowing or something but I had to get to work so I went though this flooded section of my street. I went through it a little fast and water got all up under the engine but I don't know how high. After I got through the water and to a stoplight I started to take off again but the clutch was slipping bad. It would hardly engage but it did engage at high revs and it took a few stoplights before the slipping actually Went away. I drove all the way to work and it was fine, then home and still fine. Tryed her again this morning with a few 3rd gear starts and she's fine. It's never done this before, must have been the water???

Yea most likely the water.

The clutch is not a sealed unit. but it is not "open" either. There is a drain hole in the bottom of the tranny. Just keep a eye on it.

Good luck.

Once the water dries out you don't have to worry about it.
