tein s.tech vs. h&r sport

Is there a big difference between these two springs??
Has anyone had both?
Is the drop even?
Do they still feel good after a couple of years?

s.tech springs are cheap on ebay, and h&r sports seem like a good spring for the price. yes, price does matter, I need to get the best bang for the buck. Anyway, opinions on these springs would be appreciated. This is for a daily driver. Thanks!!

ps - planning on using with kyb agx

i have tein ss so i would naturally pick the s. tech but i havent seen them in person on a lude somone i know has them on a focus the ride is nice and a good drop.

Hr-sport i had these before the ss's i didnt really like them the drop was not very even (defective springs?)

Eibach prokit is a nice ride and great drop

so i think i would go with the eibachs

I have the s-techs.. the only problem i have is that the back is a little lower than the front. But if u wanna get technical like i did, i took alls types of measurements over and over again and even theough the back looks lower, it actually makes the car sit even,it sounds weird but is true.. Other than that i kyb agx's and it rides like stock, i love it...

I will say this much. I just swapped out my Tein SS for H&R springs / stock shocks and I was shocked at the amount of drop the H&R's have. I have NO wheel gap up front and very little in the rear. I bought the combo off of Ebay for $22 (fully assembled) and they are supposed to be the Sport springs, but I think they have to be the race springs because the drop is RIDICULOUS.

BTW, before you ask, I'm parting out the car and selling it and thats why I swapped out the SS.

I have the Tein SS and it doesn't look like my rear is higher.

If you carry alot of crap in your trunk then the drop will be pretty uneven.
I got rid of the subs I had in the back and now the car is perfectly even with only a couple things in the trunk.

What pearl-lude said is true....it does look a bit uneven but is not.....the car actually sits perfectly level. Wierd but that's how it is. I've had my springs for about 2 years and they've been perfectly fine. Only problem is that sometimes I wanna just slam the car. But then I think of all the stupid potholes on the road and crap and then I'm glad I got the S. Techs.....otherwise my car would prolly be done.

If you have adjustable coilovers, just find a place that does corner-weighting I think it's called.

so the drop on the s-techs is relatively little? i know that it say about 1.3" from the factory, but thats never too accurate.

most springs designed for honda cars will end up front being higher and rear being lower.
If you do a quick search, you'll realize most race&sport springs give you uneven drops.
Some guy who had h&r sport complained in PreludePower.com for drop being so high.
People did a stock vs sport spring comparison, and it came out bad. but it was unusually high.. but you get the idea.

Go with race springs minimum. Sport line-ups are too high for my taste..
then again, you'll have to suffer extra stiffness and handle the lowerness.
this is why you go adjustable coilovers.....
