I'm looking at buying a catback for my 5th gen prelude. Is the Tanabe G-Power Medalion (with the oval tip) quiet? How is it compared to others?

Thanks

Wait no more!!!!
I've got the cat back on my 4g VTEC and it's reasonably quiet for an aftermarket pipe.
On idle you can hardly hear it, but if you nail it then it wakes up and sounds nice but not annoying if you know what I mean.
Also, it's not too bad on the freeway, not much droning in the car.
Bottom line is....I'm happy with it and am not considering replacing it yet.
Go for it.

Hey I have the G Power on my 5th gen. Even though a lot of people have it, I love it. It's not as loud as the Apex N1 or Racing Medallion, but I think it is the perfect noise level. Usually I always have my windows down and have the music half way up (which is still loud). My point is that its not overlly load that you can't hear anything. Also, its not the buzzing bee on crack noise either or a harly davidson chopping sound. Its clear, continous, and not too loud. I hope this helps.
Thanks
