Lately the sunroof has been opening and closing really slow. Its a 97 Prelude with only 70k miles on it so I wouldn't think the roof motor would be already dying would it?
Any ideas or tips please let me know
there is a lubrication schedule for the tracks in the owners manual... you're supposed to do it every 2 years, IIRC, to eliminate grime and reduce friction/wear.
i lubricated my tracks on my sunroof like 2 years ago when im started 2 slow down and was makin' terrible griding noise. After it was quite and fast! =)
^WD-40 actually isn't a lubricant, but a water displacement agent. It will evap. quickly also and can cause rust on metal when it stands on it for extended periods
