sunroof getting slow

Lately the sunroof has been opening and closing really slow. Its a 97 Prelude with only 70k miles on it so I wouldn't think the roof motor would be already dying would it?
Any ideas or tips please let me know

I've seen them die after 50k. Not sure why, but some of them have problems.

there is a lubrication schedule for the tracks in the owners manual... you're supposed to do it every 2 years, IIRC, to eliminate grime and reduce friction/wear.

Can you just use wd-40 to lubricate it?

Clean and lubricate with lithium grease

^WD-40 actually isn't a lubricant, but a water displacement agent. It will evap. quickly also and can cause rust on metal when it stands on it for extended periods

Another possibility is a weak battery or alternator . . .
