Stripped screw, what should I do?

I stripped the brass screw that holds the Ignition rotor to the distributor seen below (not actual screw)

How could i get it out?

Depends on how bad it is. First resort would be to use a dremel to make a deep(er) slot in it, and then use a flathead screwdriver to get it out.

I totally mangled mine trying different screw drivers and eventually had to get a screw extractor set (e.g., craftsman). Even that barely worked - I had to put the drill torque to max and it ended up shattering the bit but it got the ****er out

i just the the original rotor on since that screw wouldnt twist. car runs great for now, but I would like to change it eventually. If I ever get the bolt out Im putting a steel one in its place.
