Im thinking about paint my stocks black. Can someone give me a write up on how to paint them? Also is there a way on how to remove curb rashes as well before painting them?

When I painted my blades black, i used aircraft cleaner, then sanded down the rest and the curb rashes to a smooth finish. After that, i used primer. Then I gave it 3 layers of duplicolor paint with 1 hour in between each layer. After that, i put on clear coat and all done. Aircraft cleaner is a very good product, it could be used to remove old paint and old clear coat too.

Heres a good tip if you are going to paint the rims with tires on: use some 3x5 notecards and slip them in between the lip of the rim and the tires, that way you wont spray any paint on the tires.

No one seems to remove the wheel weight. Next time you change your tire you'll have a nice unpainted spot on your wheel

Thanks a lot bro. My only concern is if i can get rid of the rashes. The previous owner left me with some pretty harsh blades. Ill take pictures tomorrow. Its dark already.

wouldn't you have to get your tires rebalanced then?

You can get them smoother but there's only so much you can do. I'm in the same boat and getting ready to paint mine.
