Well its winter time here in Philly, so this past saturday I was forced to take off my 17x7 Konig Verdicts and replace them with the stock 94 vtec rims... man its looks like a completley different car... but I guess I wanna keep my big rims in good shape.. so they won;t be back on the car for about 3 months.... oh well.. I did notice that the ride is noticeably smoother with my stock rims back on the car I guess 55 series VS 45 series really make a difference.. I also noticed that my Tachometer reads SLIGHTLY different with my stock rims back on..With the 17's the tach is a few 100 rpms LOWER then with the stock rims at the same speeds.. I think when I go to put the Konigs back on I am gonna get a set of 40 series tires.. probably so-2 or are they so-3's now?? Bridgestone Potenza's SO-?... that's what I am gonna go with....
well just wanted to share.. anyone else go through the summer.winter rims routine??
I used to do that (when I was younger and had no $$$). It was kind of cool to do, just to have a different look for your car. but once springtime came, I couldn't wait to put back on the nice rims. The last few years, I put my whole car away for winter and drive a winter beater. I started with a POS dodge beater, but now drive a decent S-10 4x4 truck. but soon, I will have no more prelude and will sell the S-10 as well and get a brand new truck/suv. I may get back into the scene one day with an older 4G prelude vtec or even maybe an integra as a strictly race project car.

i have my stock wheels on too. it kinda feels nice to not have to worry about getting your wheels stolen and it's way lighter than my 18's, so accerlerating is much quicker.
I just did the same thing about two weeks ago. My ride was comparely smoother (205/55/16 vs 215/45/17's). When I look at summer pics I think --- poor prelude.
