okay so my goal is to make a adjustable trailing arm for my 2001 honda prelude sh.
I know someone is going to ask why so here it is. To make a long story short a few years ago I got into an acciedent the driver rear smash into the curb doing 90mph. Replaced the whole re-end. never was 100% after that. took it to the frame shop 2 different times and they said the frame was in factory specs. so to fix the problem I added megan racing adjustable toe arms to fix the toe. And now the caster is off. So I decided to keeep my chassis for the time being and make an adjustsble trailing arm since no one make them for my car.
So the first bit of help I need is does anyone now a good spec for tubing to use as my trailing arm. I know they make chassis out of tubing, I'm just not sure on what the best metal would be, wall thickness and etc.
I plan on duplicating the megan racing style of adjustablity.
I was thinking about having it custom fabricated but I called a hand full of places here in san diego but no one has got back.
So I'm gonna do it myself. Its a simple build I just need to get the right material first. welding is not a problem, I work with some of the best pipe welders here in san diego.
So any help you could give me would be greatly apprieciated.
