spark plugs and wires making noise - Honda Prelude Forum

Hello guys, I hear an electricity static noise from my spark plugs and wires. It sounds like a static current. What can this be? Do I need new wires or plugs? or distributor?

here is a sample of what it sounds like. At around 1:10 of the sound clip, that's the noise I'm talking about.

lol yeah I was..But took care of it

replaced dist cap and rotor. replaced wires and plugs.

Noise is gone, car is alive and smooth again. She was due for a tune-up that's all.

That noise was from the wires is my guess. Were grounding out.

yeah, that's the thing, no wires were touching. The terminals in the dist cap and rotor were corroded. The wires were so shot that they turned green and oxidized at the ends. The plugs were shot too.
