Somebody stop me... Tanabe RM and Apexi N1

I'm seriously considering getting either of these. It's TOTALLY against my style of being subtle, but for some reason their simple, elegant design is growing on me. Are they really that loud and draw that much attention? (I mean, come on... cops, domestics, people with good taste =)

Anyone going to the Calgary meet who has either?

I have the Racing Medalion.....it is loud but the N1 is louder. You CAN drive the car in such a manner that the noise level is tolerable but there are times (going uphill) where it HAS to make noise whether you like it or not. I suggest driving a car with either of these two on so that you get a better idea because one person's idea of loud isn't the same as anothers. I think I might still have a mpeg of me driving the car so you get an idea of how loud it is. If I can find it I'll let you know.

Thanks Joon, you're the man. Hopefully someone at the Calgary meet will have either. Both exhausts look so sexy (a bit big, but still mad sexy! =)

at the last calgary meet, there were 2 N1's....one with the silencer, and one without...unfortunately, i didn't get a chance to really hear either of them....

personally, i like the look of the N1 over the RM...although it does look a little goofy with the silencer

I'm surprised no one here seems to talk much about the Thermal RD Classic exhausts. These things seem to be top quality in design and finish- full stainless steel cat-backs. This is what I am heavily leaning towards after getting my turbo kit on next week or so. Unfortuately, it is still only 2.25" like my Apex RS one now, but my DP is only 2.5" so it's not worth it for me to do a custom 3" exhaust and 3" cat because anything over 2.5" is a waste(and it is not worth spending all that time and money to get a 0.25" larger exhaust system IMO). Does anyone have a Thermal Classic on their car?

Just put my Thermal on my car on Thursday night. Really nice piece of equipment and a real deep throaty sound to it too. My favorite thing about it is the looks. It basically looks like your stock exhaust on steroids.

If anyone is interested in these exhaust, I am getting a very good price on them. Just give me a holler at Cementups@aol.com

I heard a clip of a thermal stealth (I think) back when we were on *** and it sounded kind of farty and flat.

Haha biatch, I've already got my header planned out. I still think you'd gain more from headers than an exhaust.

I am not thrilled with my N1 (top end gains are excellent in vtec range but for daily driving it isn't the best exhaust)

I have also had it for more than two years and the quality is still there, I have had no problems.

The N/A N1 is a little quieter than the turbo N1's. There is a difference. I have two of the N/A, and I love the sound. Very loud. I got them for quality and looks above all else. Low end SUCKS but high-end gains are noticeable. I love the N1!
