Some general VAFC / ECU questions

I am planning on buying a VAFC (1 or 2, not sure yet) and plug and play harness sometime soon. I KNOW CLOSE TO NOTHING ABOUT ECU's and VAFC, so I have some quick questions. (I did search by the way, came up with a lot, but not everything)

1 - when you reset the ecu (to "unlearn" it) will it also reset the settings on the VAFC?
2 - after tuning the vafc, is there a way you can go in and find the exact settings it is on, so you can then remember the settings in case the VAFC erases?
3 - how many dyno runs does it usually take to properly tune a VAFC?
4 - how user friendly is the VAFC? (in terms of ease of use, and being able to understand the different modes and settings)

anything else I should know, please tell me. Thanks

i havent had mine tuned yet but i can share my experience with you.
1. i reset my ecu and my vafc was fine this was the version 1 i had before which had settings and i didnt lose mine. I have a version 2 now with plug n play.\
2. When they tune it they will set correction values i believe which you can see when you go into the mode that lets you adjust fuel correction.
3. I dont know i havent gotten mine tuned since im broke.
4. Its not that complicated to go through the menus. I played with mine until i understood how to control different options.

Im thinking about selling my vafc 2 and plug and play harness because I was planning to get it tuned but being a college student I have no more cash left to spend on the car so Its sitting as a bling item in my car. Pm me if you are interested otherwise i think i will make a classified thread.

how many runs depends on who is tuning it.......

could be 3.........could be 12

a vafc 2 also has smaller rpm increments which means just a tad more tuning compared to 1000 rpm increments
