I just tried to SMOG my car at two places and they denied me because of my intake. They said they can't do it without a sensor. Do I have to put the stock intake back in before I go back?

I could, but it was the fact that it was A+F. Hell, I make sterotypical comments too ... I think everyone does, but A+F is ....... ah f uck this. I don't want to get into it.
I need help with SMOG. I could either:
a) throw the stock intake on
b) drive around and find a place that will SMOG my car
too bad I'm pressed for time tomorrow otherwise I'd just throw the stocker back on (exam tue, proj. thur, overdue smog check).
I thought the exact same thing about it ... they wouldn't even test it cause they said it's illegal. I was like wtf ... look at that damn sticker. Then one guy pointed to my mugen header and was like ... no way that's gonna pass ... I was like forget this and went home to consult you guys.
Does a smog have anything to do with the intake? why would they say they need the sensor or were they just visually inspecting the car?

They're being an ass about it. I smogged my car with an intake, he looked at it and didn't care. Just stuck the sniffer in the exhaust and clipped on the spark plug wires check my timimg. I guess some people won't deal with it. Just keep trying some places. I've got smog coming up too..

Same here... the guy didnt mind my intake being there. He just did the sniffer test, but he did check my timing... and said it was advanced 10 degrees over spec, and failed me for that. He did pass me afterall though... my timing wasnt that advanced by the way, I rechecked it using a timing gun, he was just being a jerk. Whatever. I hate SMOG people... but he shouldnt have failed you for an intake, that ludicrous.

I don't know where you guys are from, but here in Washington its so easy. I handed the guy 20 bucks and my registration and he put that thing in my exhaust and told me to rev up to 2500 rpm. After like 30 sec. he said you are done, took that thing out, handed me the paper and 5 bucks back and said you passed. I had an Injen intake but he didn't even look under my hood, and didn't even said anything about my bigass Dunk catback.
