Skunk2 exhaust loud?

Hi

I really cant decide what to get for my 4th gen h22.. I figured I'd ask you. Atm I have some exhaust and its ****ty loud, I mean when you hit it from ~ 2000-5000 rpm if you are trying to have an conversation you'll have to wait cus you cant hear ****.. It is simply to loud for me.

I was looking out for a Mugen, but they havnt made a system for the 93-96 ludes.. And its kinda pricey aswell. Then i was looking at Apexi WS2 but, its not stainless and not 2.5" all way (Am I wrong?) And ppl tells me it hangs low on the 4th gen...

Then greddy evo2 but imo it sounds weird.. Atleast from what I can hear on youtube.

Then theres Skunk2 megapower. Ppl seems to like it, tbh I dont like the 110mm exhaust tip but if that is what i can get its ok with me.. From what I can hear it sounds good with the silencer plugged in, but how loud is it?
Can you have an conversation while hitting the gas?

I've been searching alot but nothing meets my requirements really.. I want it to be stainless and 2.5" not ricey sound and look, and lot loud. Skunk2 has a ricey look with that huge exhaust tip but again, it sounds good.

Rasmus

Get a Vibrant muffler and have an exhaust shop do a custom 2.25 inch piping job.

Low toned, and not obnoxiously loud

Sounds like what I am after too. I can't stand huge fart cans that make tons of noise.

Well, I bought the skunk2. The exhaust tip is 100mm / 4"
Haven't mounted it yet, since it wont fit with my cat, so im about to get a new header and a high flow cat now

But from what i can hear on youtube and from peoples experience, with the silencer in it should have a nice sound and not that loud. The piping is not 2.5" either its closer to 2.25". But what ever

I have the skunk2 mounted to my car. It sounds really nice, no complains from the neighbors yet

Hehe old topic
But i returned my skunk2 since i figured it wasnt 2.5" more 2.36", I have a custom 2.5" exhaust atm which im happy with. Only the muffler thats still Loud.

I think Apexi WS2 made a 3" muffler for Turbo cars? I might get that and weld on my 2.5" not sure yet, i know the 'normal' ws2 is very restictive..

I just bought a cat-back high performance exhaust for my 96 and it sounds awesome, fantastic couldn't ask for anything else and the best part was the fact that it was only $170 after taxes and shipping
