I've cleaned the IAC valve but it didn't work, where should I go next to cure the problem? Could it be the distributor cap and rotor since I'm also experiencing hard start-ups when the tank level is below 3/4. My car has 102,XXX miles, the last time I replaced the cap and rotor was 90,XXX.

Check your spark plug wires.

I've tried swapping back to stock wires but it didn't help. Any other causes?

Next def. try fuel injector cleaner stuff, your injectors are prolly dirty. Try that bud im sure thats it.

Hey man I just replaced my distributor cap and rotors, and also poured in a bottle of fuel injection cleaners to the fuel tank.

The rough idling is gone! You're the man
