i have never once removed my calipers to paint them.

I took some steel whool, went over the whole caliper to remove the dust and dirt. Put a rag over the hub and brake disc, then sprayed them on the car.

I used hi-temp primer, hi-temp paint, and then some hi-temp clear.

Tirerack sells a kit that you're just supposed to brush on while the rotor is on the car.

its a pita to remove them if they are old/rusty. i'd paint them while on. unless your putting on new ones, then paint/powder coat while off...

i think NTPOG shows how to remove them if you still don't know how. They show how to replace rotors so of course you have to remove the calipers first.

Also remember if you remove the caliper you'll need to bleed the brake system after you re-install them.

Duplicolor Caliper Paint Kit sells on ebay. No need to remove the calipers. Comes in 5 different colors. Sells for about $30.00.

I masked the wheelwell area w/ newspaper. Easy.

is it just me, or has there been a recent rash of 'thread resurrection' occurring?

Thanks fellow Louisiana folks. This is an awesome web site, I'm learning a lot here. I've only had my Prelude for 2 months now and LOVING every minute of it. I sold a full size gas guzzling Dodge Ram to purchase the Prelude which gets twice the mileage. Gas prices really suck nowdays.
